Henry Wozow
Principal and CEO
Time and again, small to medium-sized business owners come to me with the same problem–cash flow. Often, they are a thriving business with no shortage of revenues, but their money is tied up in accounts receivable. They haven’t offered term discounts to their customers for paying invoices quickly; they lack the resources to collect on outstanding invoices; or they just received a purchase order for products they don’t have the funds to produce.
This is my story. I found success in the printing industry and from there, built one of the best factoring companies in the country.
THE UNIVERSAL FUNDING STORY: HOW A FACTORING COMPANY WAS BORN.
Our CEO and founder, Henry Wozow and his wife Pattie, started a printing company more than 30 years ago. During a growth phase, Henry actually used accounts receivable financing and factored the invoices of his rapidly growing printing company until he was able to obtain traditional financing. Thanks to this decisive action and a decade of savvy planning, his business flourished and was sold for a considerable profit. Our CEO has been in the same place as our clients and made a decision that changed the course of his business.
Henry’s hands-on business approach helped him recognize that the gap between receiving payments from customers and paying suppliers for raw materials caused a disruption in cash flow which was stunting growth. Growth presents the usual challenges: changes in technology, increases in marketing spend, purchasing more raw materials, hiring more staff, etc. When cash flow is stifled, how are these needs addressed? For Henry, the solution was invoice factoring.
After selling his printing company, Henry started a factoring company to help other businesses achieve the growth that he experienced first-hand. He knew that if businesses had quick access to capital funding, they would be able to take advantage of their growth. 30 years ago invoice factoring was a financing alternative that was specifically used in a few key industries such as printing and the garments. Today, industries have increasingly found the value in factoring. The transportation and staffing industries thrive with the help of invoice factoring. In addition, the IT industry is one of the fastest growing sectors benefiting from invoice factoring.
Growing companies can turn to Universal Funding Corporation and know that they are working with factoring experts. Call us today at 1-844-334-1683 to find out if invoice factoring can help you get needed cash flow.

Diane grew up in Spokane and attended the University of Washington in Seattle earning her BS degree – go huskies! After realizing it really does rain all the time in Seattle, she moved back to Spokane. Diane started with Seafirst Bank out of college and after many mergers retired from Bank of America after working there for 32 years.
While with Bank of America, she had the opportunity to work credit card and debit card fraud (before debit cards were ever popular!). On the branch banking side, she worked with business and personal checking accounts along with teller activities and then eventually went back to work for the credit card side of the bank (when that department moved to Spokane) working in the credit area as a loan authorizer.
She ended her career with Bank of America working on the merchant side of the credit card industry working in a variety of arenas such as disputes and chargebacks, special compliance projects, terminal reprogramming, online system merchant assistance, and also with customer. She also had the opportunity to work in the smaller business arena working for her father’s legal office for a number of years. Through her diverse experience Diane has definitely developed a strong appreciation for customer service and a passion for providing the best customer service she can for my clients.
Diane is a mother of 3 children and grandmother of 3 absolutely wonderful granddaughters. She enjoys her grandma time with her granddaughters, working Sudoku puzzles, quiet time to walk with her dogs enjoying the outdoors, and relaxing on a sunny beach.
