As the Compliance Attorney, David ensures that all legal aspects of client accounts are administered properly. David works closely with all departments here at Universal, and he takes an active role in settling any disputes that may arise.

David’s legal experience includes both government and private practice, where he has appeared in over 20 combined federal, county, and municipal courts. Prior cases that David has handled range from contract disputes, to federal court life insurance policy litigation, to Class A Felony criminal defense trials. Prior to joining Universal, David operated his own law firm.

Outside of the office, David is an avid runner and bicyclist. On average, he races 12 times each year.
